- The talented Mr.Tai (Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Berlin Spring Summer 2013) -

The talented Mr. Tai, a graduate from the renowned St. Martins College, invited its guests to see his Spring/Summer 2013 collection and they all followed his invitation… The tent was full, excitement level at its highest point… Canadian designer Steven Tai got discovered at the ‘Festival International de Mode et de Photographie’ in Hyères. After being awarded with the Chloë prize, Mr. Tai was lucky being supported by the German edition of ELLE and Mercedes Benz and totally ready to go for his debut in Berlin. After Iris van Herpen and Wang Yutao, he was the third designer who benefited from this cooperation.

The show began with the Hyères Festival trailer, something new for the German audience and a wonderful show start. ‘Nerds and silhouettes’ is everything but mainstream. It shows us something we have never seen before.

Steven Tais’ supernovas are strolling down the nerd-way with nerd glasses, make-up in natural tones and loose hair.

Steven Tai uses a wide range of silhouettes, layers, volumes, assymetric cuts and materials- like a young kitty cat who loves to play.  Our favourite piece was his first look, a glamorous dress made of pen nibs… We adore this unique and very creative collection! Bravo, Mr. Tai, we hope to welcome you again in Berlin!
