London Fashion Week: daily impressions
Fashion Week comes to an end with Fashion Fringe.
After her phenomenal graduate collection, Sabina Bryntesson proves to be one to watch – from Salem to London, via Scandinavian minimalism. Aminaka Wilmont‘s floral sweetness is toned down by tattoos and punk hair-dos.
Fannie Schiavoni’s sexy armours and Adam Andrascik‘s slick basics.
Colour madness: Leutton Postle and Tata-Naka.
Jayne Pierson‘s models sporting her clothes outside the cinema space of the BFC tent.
Teatum Jones’ cold war rêverie at the Dorchester.
More yellow, more pastels at Pringle of Scotland; David Koma‘s diamond-patterned tennis queens of 2050.
Daisy bling-bling and golden octogones at Fred Butler.

Burgundy on burgundy at ACNE, 60s vibes at Temperley; the dark architectural vision of Phoebe English and the graphic prints of Topshop.

The only inconvenience of having Georgia Hardinge‘s designs shown in a film and not on a runway was, thank god, compensated by the clothes which are on display at the exhibition and two models standing against the Canon Cinema wearing stunning pieces from her SS13 collection – all about pallor, melancholy and flowing yards of the finest fabrics with very delicate ink-blot like prints.

Robots and mannequins: from Antipodium to À la Disposition - the uncanny, yet inspiring vibe of tonight’s shows.

Backstage at Melissa Diamantidis, Manuela Dack’s mosaic waved skirt (grids again) and Spijkers en Spijkers La Femme Paysage.

Jasper Conran‘s garden set and Huishan Zhang‘s debut presentation – more leitmotivs of SS13: artsy pastel prints, chinoiseries, porcelain and delicate blue patterns. We loved the contrasting coloured blush at Zhang, too.

Ellen van Rees, our favourite Ones to Watch designer: more cubes, more yellow, more white & grey & black grid patterns.
Moral of the first day, from most catwalks: prints, sculptural ruffles and sea creatures. Stay tuned for reviews of today’s shows, and live updates tomorrow.
White everywhere, gauzy textures and glittery lace with XL necklaces. Kokontozai and Zeynep Tosun.

Architectural pastel postcards from Krystof Strozyna; Unconditional with Princess Julia, Daniel Lismore and many other fabulous faces gracing the Goldsmith’s Hall.
Prints & trompes l’oeil, at Fyodor Golan and Antoni & Alison.
