Versus: Guy Bourdin x 2

Late 70s: glamour all over the place in fashion magazines, thanks to the work of one of the greatest photgraphers of all times, Guy Bourdin. The French artist worked with shoe designer Charles Jourdan, creating the visual concept of his brand, and of course, was an habituĂ© for Vogue Paris, capturing Christian Dior’s work and their sensuality via Jerry Hall and Janice Dickinson, among others. The redhead bombshell was his signature model and her iconic images became his trademark. One of his most celebrated work was a 1977 picture of a model holding a killer whale, the cover for one of his collaborations with Photo Magazine. In 1983, he repeated the style with a new model, holding an airpline for a new cover of the same publication.
