Versus: Sheer dress

Riccardo Tisci has become one of the most important designers in fashion. As a Creative Director in Givenchy, Tisci has reimagined haute couture in the most theatrical way, using sheer fabrics, feathers, embroidered fabrics and a lot of white. For the 2010 Fall/Winter Haute Couture collection, Tisci pushed the boundaries of delicacy in dresses, gowns and exquisite details, and created one of the most celebrated collections of the past years, worn by Beyonce and Penelope Cruz. During London Fashion Week, the events got together the most important fashionistas, magazine editors and models, such as Tali Lennox, the daughter of Annie Lennox. Tali was chosen as the official face of Julien MacDonald for Debenhams in 2011, and for the Elle Style Awards 2012 celebrated in London, Tali wore a magnificent sheer gown with feathers designerd by MacDonald himself. The beautiful dress was clearly similar to Tisci’s original idea and collection, taking the inspiration from the modern Givenchy look.
