THE XX
« Crystalised » video clip
They are four, they are twenty years old and are english. These are not new "Arctic Monkeys", quite the contrary !
No angry sound almost punk or rebel texts.
Simple, peaceful, lascivious music.
Resigned rock , disillusioned melodies carried by two voices full of disappointments.
The disappointment, that's what our four young British sing, half lived feelings, half lived lifes.
The XX is like coming back at home at 4:00am after a party ,
a flash of lucidity, something fragile and precious.
Nothing depressive, dark pop, sensual and refined. The simplicity and the refine is what most characterize the XX, both at production work and aesthetics. A black sleeve barred with white X, a short mysterious name, enigmatics, vague and short titles. An essential album until the next one.

CINNAMONS CHASERS
« Luv Deluxe » video clip
The british electronic music
band
offers us a journey:
« A million miles away
from home ».
Wonderful Soundtrack of a dream or
a fantasy film.
The dramy 80's sound suggests some
Mirwais production.
Dream machine is a succession of bright
and light tracks. An inspired and effective synthetic pop . The band does do music
with notes, but with pieces of dreams.
An interesting group with their own universe, the video clip
« Luv Deluxe » is a jewel in subjective camera. To watch and listen absolutely.

THE KNUX
« Cappuccino » video clip
We thought that Outkast has their own place in the hip hop landscape. There they are joined by the duet made in Louisiana : The Knux.
The Knux is composed by two brothers that produce hip hop doped with muscular rock guitars.
As the Outkast , The Knux have aesthetic and musical universe inspired by the 60s and rock.
You can see and hear it with the ultra energic track 'bang bang' and the clip that reminds us of the musical of the late 60s. The Knux also marks a form of renewal in American hip hop with this trend called leaders of the new cool.

LITTLE DRAGON
« Blinking Pigs » video clip
Mechanical rythm, dreamlike vocals, effective melody. A sound that can only come from Northern Europe.
The dream machine delivered by the
trip hop band from Gothenburg is successful.
The sound is light and reminds us of the French duo Air on the tracks "Feather" and "Thunder Love."
The whole album evokes a more electro version of Talking Heads with the female warm voice of Yukimi Nagano. Dream Machine is a cohesive album that could be well illustrated by Michel Gondry.
